What was your path to getting where you are today?
After a few internships in the financial services industry, I joined a large bank's analyst training program out of college. From there, I spent over a decade working in cross functional teams and saying "Yes" to opportunities that came my way. New opportunities always seemed scary at first, but among the feelings of discomfort there was always an excitement as I bet on myself. Commercial Banking has a special place in my heart because I get to work with local Chicago businesses across various industries. It's a win-win for uniting purpose and passion in my work.
Best piece of advice you've ever received?
Growing up I played soccer and had some pretty amazing coaches - one would say often that sport is how we celebrate life and that always stuck with me. No matter what I find myself doing (working, playing, etc.), I often think of it as a way to celebrate life.
How do you create a work-life balance for yourself?
It's a blur and I like it that way. In my career and in my personal life, I find and focus on 1) the things I enjoy and 2) the things I want to learn & grow in...that often drives distinct cadences and motivations for both.

What do you love and/or appreciate about being a woman?
I love and appreciate the broad spectrum of qualities that women so naturally express. For me, I've been focused on strength, intelligence, warmth, and intuitiveness to name a few. Remaining confident in new environments, especially where I feel 'over my ski's' can be a challenge. Spending time with my husband, walking, listening to music, all bring a smile to my face and joy to my heart.
How would you describe your personal style?
My style has been all over the map...sporty, punk, cozy, classic, chic. I think it's uniquely me and a nod to the past styles I've tried out over time and that fits the active life I lead. I love staple wardrobe items like a good pair of jeans, a crisp white button-down shirt, and high top sneakers.
How do you take care of yourself?
It's a combination of daily prayer, spending quality time with loved ones, moving my body - weight lifting and bike riding are some of my favorite options - and of course, sleep.

If you could live anywhere (and money is no object), where would you choose?
Europe - there is so much history, beauty, varied landscapes (mountains and beaches), and the best food.
Best gift you've ever received?
The gift of good conversation - when done with intention, it just fills my cup.
What are some of your favorite features about the Maria Pinto collections?
Maria must be a mind-reader, why else would she make her fabric machine washable? I cringe when I have to make a trip to the dry-cleaners...with Maria Pinto items, that's never a problem. It brings simplicity to my wardrobe and my life.
